Dimethyl silicone oil is a polydimethylsiloxane fluid with several excellent properties:
• Chemical stability: It does not easily react with other substances and remains stable in various environments.
• Electrical insulation: It has excellent electrical insulation properties and can be used as an insulating medium for electrical equipment.
• Weather resistance: It maintains stable performance under harsh weather conditions and is not easily affected by temperature, humidity, etc.
• Physiological inertness: It is odorless and non-toxic, and has no harmful effects on the human body, making it suitable for applications involving contact with the human body.
• Hydrophobicity: It has good hydrophobic properties and can be used for waterproofing and moisture-proofing.
Sanfan dimethyl silicone oil is available in low, medium, and high viscosities to meet the needs of various applications:
• 0.65 viscosity: This is the lowest viscosity product in the series, with excellent fluidity and low surface tension. It can be used in applications requiring high fluidity and rapid spreading, such as certain special coating additives to improve the leveling properties of coatings; it can also be used for lubricating precision instruments requiring a low-viscosity medium.
• 5 viscosity: It has low viscosity and good permeability and lubricity. It can be used as a light lubricant for small mechanical parts and precision instruments, reducing friction and wear; it is also used in cosmetics to provide good spreadability and a refreshing, non-greasy feel to the skin.
• 10 viscosity: It has a moderate viscosity and good overall performance. It can be used as a heat transfer fluid, effectively transferring heat within a certain temperature range, such as in some laboratory oil baths and small heating equipment; it can also be used as a base ingredient for mold release agents in plastic molding and rubber processing, helping products to be easily released from molds.
• 20 viscosity: It has a relatively high viscosity and good damping properties and shear resistance. It can be used to make damping oil for use in equipment or instruments requiring shock absorption and cushioning, such as automotive shock absorber systems and anti-vibration components of precision instruments; it can also be used in certain lubrication applications requiring a certain viscosity, such as the lubrication of some key parts of textile machinery.
• 50 viscosity: This is a medium-viscosity product with good film-forming properties. It can be used in coatings and paints to improve the gloss, water resistance, and oxidation resistance of the paint film; in leather care, it forms a protective film, moisturizes the leather, prevents cracking, and gives the leather a soft feel.
